Explorations: Current work of Audrey Kay Dowling
May 29 through July 15, 2010
Audrey will be showing her work as inspired by regional nature. A well known ceramicist and painter who is also an avid gardener and loves the woods, uses these as sources of inspiration in her work. The work will include both representational work and abstract work inspired by the local lakes as well as the local terrain. The opening will be held on Saturday, May 29th during the art trail.
2010 Chautauqua-Lake Erie Art Trail (CLEAT) Open Studio Tour
Saturday May 29 and Sunday May 30, 2010
Chautauqua County's CLEAT tour will take place Memorial Day weekend, May 29th and 30th, 2010. Audrey’s clay studios will be open to the public from 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday and from 11 AM to 4 PM on Sunday. There will be a block printing demonstration by Audrey, weather permitting.

Opening Reception with James- 2 to 4 PM on July 17th. Come join the fun! James abstract paintings are large and bold. His newest work involves mixed media adding new dimension to his paintings. His unique works are well worth coming to see.
Chautauqua Region: Iconic Images

Long known as a visitor paradise, the Chautauqua region includes many well-known landscapes and buildings and places that capture the essence of the Chautauqua region experience. Artists are invited to submit digital images of pieces that capture the best of what makes the Chautauqua region the choice of many visitors. All media are encouraged and accepted.

Portage Art Gallery Plein Air Day

Plein Air Painting event collaboration between two Westfield wineries and Portage Hill Gallery. Artists are invited to paint at Johnson Estate Winery or Vetter Vineyards and then return to the gallery at 2 PM to offer their wet works for sale from 2- 4 PM. Artists need to report to the gallery first thing in the morning before going out to paint to have the blank back of the paper or canvas initialed. Call to register at 716-326-4478. Join other painters of all levels for a day of learning, sharing, and pleasure.
