A day in the life of a full time artist…

While Audrey has been a full-time working artist for quite a few years already, this year the rhythm and feel of that has changed and reshaped in nearly every way. Sometimes a bit more relaxed, and sometimes a bit more on-the go than in years past.

Living and working in the same house with the gallery and Audrey’s studios as well as the gallery’s location all come together to give her the ability to do whatever strikes her fancy at any point in the day.

Sunny Time!

Every morning before opening the gallery Audrey spends a bit of time in her gardens picking flowers for display in her AKD original Flower Arranger vases.

Fresh Out Of The Kiln!

Even through the heat and humidity we have been experiencing Audrey has been working in the clay studio. Wall art, sculptural vases, AKD original flower arrangers… Stop in and see all of the great items that have come out of the pottery studio in the past week or two.

Paint Studio Time

When the heat, humidity and smoke from the wild fires gets to be too much, Audrey heads indoors to work on paintings or block prints. A significant amount of work has already come out of her paint studio this spring and more is yet to come!

All of that combined with time spent at Laughing Gull Cottage and with all of her friends keeps Audrey busy and continually inspired.
